Nature is a source of endless and unique forms, from which we can gather inspiration for projects, be those related to architecture, product design, engineering, or others. Starting from this concept, this article intends to explore the theme, an exploration born from an academic project, which relates not only architecture and biomimetics, but also methodology and social spaces. In this paper we try to understand the role of libraries in society, in which ways this building can be connected to nature, looking at the site where the proposal is located, and how biomimicry can be a strategy that generates the adopted form. The methodology presented here intends to understand the site in na innovative way, through the spacial sensation and how it is transcribed into a projectual form, as well as the exploration of local nature as a source of inspiration.
