Containers reused for academic purposes can recreate the built environment on a real scale. Thus, the authors aim at adapting a container as a climate chamber in Belo Horizonte (Brazil) considering its thermal performance. Through a container thermoenergetic model the normative parameters were set to adapt it for this new use. The simulation results pointed out some changes such as light color and walls thermal insulation (glass wool) as well as a green roof. If this adaptation occurs in stages, it would be possible to make these strategies’ costs suitable to the institutional budget.
