This work shows the types of pathologies in concrete structures, presenting their causes, prevention measures and treatments to extend the useful life of the building. The objective of the research was to analyze the factors that give rise to pathologies in the structure's design phases, from project elaboration, execution errors, lack of quality of materials used, which are identified as the main causes of pathologies in structures, thus leading to reducing the useful life of the building. Assessing the causes that lead the structure to deteriorate can avoid future problems with relationships and loss of performance. The solutions used to repair pathologies in concrete structures must consider measures to prevent collapse.
