Abstract

The scope of the article was to carry out an analysis using Environmental Psychology applied to Planned Temporary Camps (PTCs) for victims of socio-environmental disasters. The objective was to identify architectural elements and characteristics that contribute to the emotional comfort of refugees in disaster situations. In the study, specific shelter units were analyzed in disaster cases cataloged on the Infrashelter Platform. As a result, five types of PTCs were obtained, which were organized in a table, highlighting the constructive and qualitative aspects, in order to analyze the positive and negative points from the perspective of environmental psychology. The choice of materials, colors, textures, typology, causes an effect that must be intentional to contribute to the feeling of well-being.
