THE IMPORTANCE OF TEXTUAL GENRES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS IN THE LEARNING PROCESS OF STUDENTS FROM 6TH TO 9TH GRADES

The article analyzed the importance of textual genres for the development of reading and writing skills in the learning process. The study was relevant to evaluate textual genres as main points for improving reading and writing, as well as other factors and skills that contribute to the student's educational, professional and social growth. The objective of this work was to carry out a survey with teachers to systematize reports of experiences in the classroom, in order to obtain information about the potential of textual genres for meaningful student learning. The method used was applied qualitative research, as well as exploratory, bibliographic and field research. The research used the following instruments: data collection and questionnaire with closed questions. The results obtained from the analysis of data organized from the responses collected from teachers. In this way, the article was able to report reflections relevant to the educational sphere and the social environment, with a view to proving that textual genres provide students with a diversity of skills and learning development in both school and social life.
