Abstract

This work analyzed the importance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for overcoming difficulties and challenges experienced by educators and students. The questions and discussions on the topic observed social demands and the need to insert technology into the school context. In turbulent times, which require educators to acquire a new attitude towards innovations, the problematization of this study was made around the use of ICT as a mechanism to facilitate student learning and optimize the planning of teachers' teaching process. The research was carried out with a bibliographical character with the objective of analyzing the importance of using these technologies in the school routine. The result included the challenge of expanding educational horizons in relation to technological knowledge to monitor and respond to students' interests. In this way, the need to use new technologies in education increases the school space, making it competitive in the face of the current interactive reality, not only in the act of educating itself, but in corresponding to this new dynamic in a more interesting and welcoming way through the teaching and learning processes.
