About the Journal

Transforming the experiences of men and women over time into "historical material" requires inscribing them into different narratives. To represent them—and, by extension, to domesticate time itself—men and women need to recount and transform these experiences into narratives. Experiences, much like time, become effectively human and survive the "amnesic action of time" only when narrated. With the mission of narrating and interpreting human experiences over time from different perspectives of analysis, through distinct inquiries, reflections, themes, and study topics, employing various theoretical and methodological angles, the Journal "Escritas do Tempo" is born as one of the first initiatives of the Graduate Program in History (PPGHIST) at Unifesspa. This journal provides a specialized space for the publication of articles, dossiers, interviews, and reviews. It is an online, open access, immediate, and free-of-charge journal with a quarterly periodicity, accepting publication proposals on a continuous basis.

The texts will be evaluated by members of the Editorial Board and/or reviewers selected by the editors, in a blind peer-review process, meaning author anonymity will be ensured. The Editorial Board and other reviewers may request changes when the material presented does not align with editorial standards. In cases of non-compliance with rules and requested changes, the text will be disqualified.

The "Escritas do Tempo" Journal reserves the right to make necessary modifications regarding grammatical correction, technical formatting of the originals, and adaptations to the visual design of the publication.
