Between September 25 and 27, 2024, the XIV State History Meeting of ANPUH-PA took place at Unifesspa. This was the first time the event was held in the interior of the state, marking a crucial milestone for the fields of history teaching, the environment, and diversity in Eastern Amazonia. The event created a significant space for cultural and scientific exchange, bringing together professionals at different career stages, as well as undergraduate and graduate students in History from across the state of Pará.

The meeting served as a forum for discussing three specific areas of historical knowledge: history teaching, environmental history, and diversity. It fostered interdisciplinary dialogue across research fields, addressing the challenges and possibilities of discussing the Eastern Amazon region. In this context, the production of studies and practices concerning the intersections between History and Education was shared, and the teaching of history, along with the challenges of recent historiographical production, was critically examined.

The event featured six roundtables, gathering eighteen professors conducting research in the areas of history teaching and historical writing. These sessions fostered intense debate and fruitful exchanges, contributing to the strengthening and expansion of historical knowledge in the state of Pará. The discussions held during the event have been transformed into the articles that now comprise this dossier.
