Escritas do Tempo

The cultural heritage was established in Brazil in order to fulfill the role of creating cultural ties and building collective memories for the nation. Over the years, this role has evolved, and heritage has become an important part of citizenship in the country, given its function of recognizing the ethnic and cultural multiplicity of the groups and individuals inhabiting Brazilian territory. Thus, this call aims to gather research that analyzes cultural heritage in its different aspects, from its beginnings with the establishment of SPHAN, its issues involving private property, valorization of intangible manifestations, to its pedagogical potentials and violations of legislation.
